Like it or not, Ego is NOT the enemy. In fact, in many (probably most) cases, a Big Ego is essential to Big Achievements. https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=t3ebC9n1vRA
People with Big or Humongous Ego’s have long been criticized and demonized. They get a bad rap.
Not so fast … The truth is: Big Egos make the world go-round. If you’re ego is too small — you’re almost definitely Dreaming Too Small.
Humility tugs on our heart strings, but there is a ton of evidence that Big Ego people achieve much greater things in many industries.
Some people will like you less, but you’ll probably accomplish more.
Ego is not the enemy — it just needs to be balanced. Yin & Yang, as with everything.
If you are not thinking at times to yourself, “I’m the Greatest,” … how are you going to do Great things?
Of course, you need to control your EGO — especially away from the athletic field or in the office.
I coined a phrase that, to me, embodies the perfect mindset, “Great as the Greatest, Humble as the Least.” This means you are empowered and super-charged when you need to be, ultra-competitive when needed, but also super-respectful of other people and see a OneNess with other people, especially the less fortunate.
I am NOT advocating being a greedy, eg0-maniac who doesn’t care about other people. Quite the opposite — see Greatness in yourself and also see and cultivate it in others. Walk quietly but always think the best of yourself. To do big things — you must talk Big to yourself!
No one else needs to hear it — you don’t have to tell the rest of the world — you just have to tell yourself with conviction until you’re absolutely convinced of it and start manifesting at a high level.
